Both these draft traffic signal audit documents have been developed for Transfund New Zealand during a series of pilot traffic signal audits commissioned by Ian Appleton. At least a half a dozen reports were produced and these documents represent the latest best practice format.
Although Transfund are now no longer commissioning traffic signal audits, it is hoped that all RCA’s with traffic signals will still see the enormous value in carrying out these audits and employ suitably qualified people to continue this work. It is recommended that consultants who do audit traffic signals, present their findings and recommendations in a report similar to the one shown here.
