Welcome to the Hawke's Bay Branch of IPENZ

Welcome to the Hawkes Bay Branch of the Institution of Professional Engineers.  We provide services to approximately 150 IPENZ Members in the Hawkes Bay region and we are keen to stimulate interest in engineering creativity.

We hold approximately ten meetings each year for Members. These meetings are used to organise evening presentations which include the graduates’ presentations, the President’s visit and site visits. These events provide opportunities for Members to meet socially and to expand their business networks.  Branch Newsletters and Reminders and the IPENZ Calendar keep Members informed of these events.

In November each year the branch holds an annual General Meeting and elects a committee to run the Branch for the next 12 months.

Committee meetings are generally held on the third Thursday.  The Branch welcomes visitors but please contact a Committee member first.

The Branch is active in Futureintech, an IPENZ initiative funded by Government to promote careers in technology, engineering and science.  Graduates are recruited by Futureintech Facilitators to work alongside students, their teachers and careers advisers to support curriculum activity and provide first-hand examples of a career in technology, engineering or science.
