New Zealand Engineering
APV New Zealand's board of management has recommended the sale of the
company's Refrigeration Components Division as part of its strategic plan.
The company will then be free to focus on its core business: design/supply
of refrigeration systems; process engineering and food and dairy systems;
automation and control systems; product sales and customer service and
support. The Refrigeration Components Division is offered for sale
as a going concern.

Removing
unwanted water from the outside of bottles can be speeded up using bottle
dryers from air movement specialist Secomak. Using air knives which
produce high velocity air, they remove all liquid and dirt from external
surfaces. Due to the unique design of the air knives, bottle dryers
can be used on bottles of any shape and size, and use 90 percent less energy
than thermal heaters. By atomising the water, the problem of staining
or streaking is also avoided. Throughput is greatly increased, as
there is no need to cool the bottles after drying. Phone the New Zealand
agent Nu-Way Energy 0-9-274 5111.
Process
automation engineers, system builders and OEMs should welcome the versatility
offered by the new 1/16 DIN CAL 9400-temperature controller. Main
features include dual, four digit, simultaneous display of process and
set point temperature with the option of serial communications using the
low cost CALCOMMS Windows based control and data acquisition software.
This provides logging and charting facilities for up to 32 instruments.
A user-friendly, menu driven display simplifies configuration and set point
adjustments, as well as initiating the easy to use, accurate autotune program.
Manufactured to ISO 9002, the 9400 is CE and millennium compliant and carries
a three-year warranty. The New Zealand agent is Unilink Automation,
freephone 0800-864 546.
