<p>Atlas Copco is an international industrial group of companies with its
head office in Stockholm. Of group invoiced sales of more than SEK 25 billion,

<p>Compressor Techniquecovers portable air compressors, industrial
compressors and gas and process compressors. Portable air compressors constitute
a reliable and efficient power source for machines and tools used within
the building and construction sector, as well as other industries.</p>
<p>Originally, industrial compressors were used as a source of power, but
now compressed air is used increasingly as an active part of various production
processes. This application area demands high air quality. Clean, dry quality
air is of crucial importance in the electronic industry since the air comes
into direct contact with electronic components. To meet the steady demand
for quality air, Atlas Copco also offers drying equipment and filters.
Customer adapted gas/process compressors and expansion turbines are delivered
to process industries such as the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas
industries as well as to companies specialising in the separation of air
and other gases.</p>
<p>Construction and Mining Technique offers a wide range of products and
services, from pneumatic breakers to package solutions for major construction
and mining projects. Drill rigs for underground and surface drilling applications
such as tunnelling, construction and quarrying. Mechanical boring machines
for underground tunnels as well as drill rigs for water-well drilling and
geotechnical drilling. The drilling equipment available includes rock drilling
tools such as drill steel and drill bits for rock drilling operations.
Loading equipment and trucks are used mainly in underground mining operations,
as well as certain construction projects.</p>
<p>Industrial Technique's product areas consist primarily of industrial
and professional power tools, assembly systems and sophisticated motion
control products. Power tools powered by compressed air or electricity,
have many applications within industry, such as drilling, grinding, riveting
and the tightening of nuts and screws. Electric tools are used extensively
within the building and construction markets. Assembly systems for the
automotive assembly industry, and motion control systems for complex industrial
machines and vehicles are manufactured to meet the increasing needs of
automation in industry.</p>
<p>Local market presence. The New Zealand sales company, started here in
1953, has its head office located in Lower Hutt with branches in Auckland,
Hamilton, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Sales in this market are dominated
by industrial compressor business with many leading New Zealand companies
