Practice Notes

Practice Notes have been developed as a source of advice to practising engineers on practice-related issues, where often there is little other advice available. The notes are intended to inform IPENZ Members about issues that may affect them in various ways and in various capacities.

Topics for Practice Notes will be chosen by the Engineering Practice Advisory Committee, to reflect professional issues of topical interest, and occasionally trends that emerge in complaints handled by the Board.

The Engineering Practice Advisory Committee normally gather a team of experts to prepare a draft. Where possible IPENZ will co-brand the Notes with other interested organisations. The draft undergoes a peer review process before being posted on the IPENZ (members only) website for membership review. Final production is undertaken by the IPENZ editorial team and made available electronically.

Any suggestions for topics can be sent to the Engineering Practice Manager, practicemanager@ipenz.org.nz
