News | Archives Three highly respected Members of IPENZ were recognized in the 2005 Queen’s Birthday Honours list announced recently: Distinguished Fellow Dr Alexander James Sutherland, Christchurch, was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to tertiary education and engineering. Distinguished Fellow Mr Clifford Raymond Barnett, Auckland, was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to fire safety engineering. IPENZ Fellow Mr Robert Brian Armstrong JP, Hamilton, was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to the community.
