Bernard Weinstein elected Fellow of IPENZ
March 2005

Bernard Weinstein, Managing Director, Bernard Weinstein & Associates, was elected a Fellow of The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) for his contribution to the advancement of engineering practice; specifically recognising his contributions to the development of building services engineering in New Zealand.

He was one of the earliest practitioners specialising in complex heating and ventilating projects for large, complex or multi-storey buildings. He has given service over many years to the Royal Aeronautical Society.

“Becoming a Fellow is an honour bestowed by ones professional peers on high-achievers who have made a difference to the engineering profession. More often than not a Fellows contribution to the profession also benefits New Zealand as a whole, as the work of engineers’ impacts on New Zealand society,” said IPENZ Chief Executive, Andrew Cleland.

Bernard was presented with his Fellowship at the IPENZ Awards Dinner held at Auckland’s Ellerslie Convention Centre, on Thursday, 17 March 2005.
