| Media Release 2005 IPENZ Fellows Thirty seven new Fellows were elected by The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) for their contributions to the engineering profession. The Fellows were honoured at an awards dinner held in conjunction with the IPENZ convention, sponsored by Maunsell , at Auckland's Ellerslie Convention Centre. The “Engineers as Leaders” theme at the IPENZ Convention
2005, encouraged engineers to take more of a leadership role developing
New Zealand’s economy and national wealth. “Becoming a Fellow is an honour bestowed by ones professional
peers on high-achievers who have made a difference to the engineering
profession. More often than not a Fellows contribution to the profession
also benefits New Zealand as a whole, as the work of engineers’
impacts on New Zealand society,” said IPENZ Chief Executive, Andrew
Cleland. To view the Fellows of The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) citations, click on their individual name. Fellow information: (a) Advancement of engineering knowledge;
