Peter Graham elected Fellow of IPENZ
Friday, 26 March 2004

Peter Graham, former Executive Chairman and Director Deltec Telesystems Ltd was elected a Fellow of The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) for his contribution to innovation in the creation of technological products; specifically recognising his leading role in developing Deltec Telesystems’s range of high technology antenna subsystems.

Peter Graham founded the company and through his leadership it grew to reach annual revenue of $35m in 2000. The basis of the company was its strong intellectual property in the area of cellular radio antenna systems, for which he took strong personal responsibility. Early on, he recognised the importance of research and development to his company and showed a strong commitment to technology leadership as the basis of a modern engineering product business. His engineering skills, personal drive, and integrity are well respected amongst his peers.

“Receiving a Fellowship carries substantial prestige. It is not a reward for long service or for advancement in seniority with one’s employer, rather it is recognition by IPENZ of the contribution of outstanding individuals,” said IPENZ Chief Executive, Andrew Cleland.

Peter was presented with his Fellowship at the IPENZ Awards Dinner held in Christchurch at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, on Thursday, 25 March 2004.
