| Media Release Dr Max Kennedy - 2004 Supreme Technical Award Dr Max Kennedy, Technical and Operations Manager of the Biopharmaceuticals Division of Industrial Research Limited, has won the Chemical, Bioprocess, and Food category of the 2004 IPENZ Supreme Technical Awards for Engineering Achievers, sponsored by Opus International Consultants. Max has led the development of a world-class biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing capability at Industrial Research Limited. Widely published, he has authored a number of papers, publications and book chapters as well as co-authoring a book. Max was recently appointed as an IRL Distinguished Engineer, and is also a member of the University of Waikato, Engineering Industry Advisory Group. The Chemical, Bioprocess and Food category includes the engineering design, construction and operation of plant utilising chemical and bioprocess-based technologies. It includes petrochemical, primary process, pulp and paper and food industries. There are eight categories of the Supreme Technical awards which were presented at the Awards Dinner, during the IPENZ Convention at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Christchurch on March 25.
