| Media Release Dene Cook elected Fellow of IPENZ Dene Cook, Project Manager, Cement and Concrete Association NZ, was elected a Fellow of The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) for his contribution to the advancement of engineering practice; specifically recognising his contribution to development of standards for concrete construction. Dene is a leading structural engineer, known for his forward-looking
approach to the use of concrete. He has played a leading role in the preparation
and delivery of submissions on structural issues and chaired the NZS 3101
Concrete Structures Standard Technical Committee. This was a substantial
task, performed in a most professional manner. He also contributes to
other Standards committees. He has been active as a member and Chair of
the Canterbury Structural Group.
