Making an application

Applications for Graduate Membership should be made as soon as you have received written confirmation from your tertiary provider that you have completed all requirements for your engineering qualification(s) (including the practical work component).

To apply, complete the Graduate Application form (GR101) and send it to IPENZ with a certified copy of your qualifications.

IPENZ will review your qualifications against the academic requirements for Membership and establish the appropriate competence development pathway (MIPENZ, TIPENZ or AIPENZ).

Election to Graduate Membership normally takes 1-2 weeks if your qualification/s meets IPENZ requirements.

On election a letter and invoice is sent (View current schedule of fees).  Graduate Membership is confirmed on payment of the invoice and Graduate Members are then issued a Membership Certificate, a password to the “Member Only” area of the IPENZ website and a reference folder for filing down loaded information.

 

Annual Subscriptions

Subscriptions are only payable on invoice.  On election to Membership, the level of subscription for the current year is assessed on a pro-rata basis and an invoice is issued.  Refer to http://www.ipenz.org.nz/ipenz/join/subs.cfm for subscription rates.
