Who can become an IPENZ Student Member?

If you are currently studying engineering at undergraduate level (Engineering Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree or Bachelor of Engineering Degree) at a New Zealand tertiary institution we encourage you to join IPENZ. 

Post-graduate students are also eligible to join, subject to an income threshold.

It's free to join, so you won't get hundreds of freebies but you will:

  • be able to attend and contribute to IPENZ events. In the process you will meet engineers from different backgrounds and different stages in their engineering career.  Attending IPENZ events is a great way of making friends, meeting mentors or maybe even a potential employer
  • receive copies of an electronic newsletter for Student Members called student direct
  • get access to the “Members’ Area” of the IPENZ website
  • be eligible to apply for the Ray Meyer Medal for Excellence in Student Design in your final year of undergraduate study.
