IPENZ
Practice College Register
The IPENZ Practice College lists currently competent IPENZ Members who have successfully demonstrated competence in the last 5 years. The Practice College register also identifies the type of engineering in which the registrant practises. There are three types of Practice College Member - Professional Member (for engineers demonstrating competence to the MIPENZ membership standard); Technical Members (for engineers demonstrating competence to the TIPENZ membership standard) and Associate Members (for engineers demonstrating competence to the AIPENZ membership standard).
Members of the IPENZ Practice College are entitled to use the extended post-nominal – namely, their membership postnominal with the Practice College practice field(s) included in parentheses. For example, a Professional Member would use MIPENZ(X,Y) where X and Y are the names of one or two practice fields within which the engineer most recently demonstrated competence. For example MIPENZ (Mechanical) or MIPENZ (Mech) shows the engineer practises in an area of mechanical engineering.
