Certified Engineering Technician - CertETn

Overview

The Certified Engineering Technician register records Engineering Technicians who have successfully met the competence standard for initial registration within the last 5 years.  Once registered, registrants must comply with the CertETn Code of Ethical Conduct, and undertake assessments at regular intervals (not exceeding 5 years) to remain on the CertETn register.

IPENZ regulations govern the way in which the CertETn register is administered.  These regulations cover assessment decisions, appeal procedures (including one of either a review of process or a review of the decision to decline and application) and a procedure for dealing with complaints and disciplinary actions

Post nominals

Registrants on the Certified Engineering Technician register are able to use the ‘CertETn’ postnominal.
