IPENZ Info and Networking Evening Christchurch - STUDENT REGISTRATION
Description:
IPENZ will be holding an information and networking evening for student engineers in the Canterbury region.
This event will take place on Wednesday 18 August at the University of Canterbury and is open to all final-year under graduate and postgraduate students from CPIT and the University of Canterbury.
The purpose of the evening is to inform final-year student engineers about the pathway towards obtaining an IPENZ competence-graded Membership class (Professional, Technical or Associate), or a competence-based register (Chartered Professional Engineer, Engineering Technology Practitioner or Certified Engineering Technician).
The evening will also enable student engineers to network with members of the engineering profession over pizza.
All students must register to attend the event as seating capacity in the lecture room is limited. All attendees will all be given a name badge to wear during the evening.
The outline of the evening is as follows
5.00pm – Students to pick up their name badges before entering the lecture theatre
5.30pm – Overview of the competence assessment process
6.00pm – Guest speaker Dr Don Elder CE Solid Energy
6.15pm – Networking over pizza
(Please be seated in the lecture theatre by 5.30pm)
