International Engineering Technologist - IntET(NZ)

Overview

The New Zealand section of International Engineering Technologists Register, IntET(NZ).  This register is established under the Engineering Technologists Mobility Forum Agreement (6 countries) – and lists engineering technologists who meet the IPENZ competence standard (which is based on the internationally accepted competence exemplar) and additional specific qualification and work experience requirements.  These require registrants to hold a Sydney Accord accredited qualification; have two years responsible engineering experience and seven years post-graduation professional engineering experience. IntET(NZ) registrants must undertake on-going assessments at intervals not exceeding 5 years to remain on the register, hence IntET(NZ) registrants are regarded as currently competent.

IntET(NZ) registrants are bound by the IntET(NZ) Code of Ethical Conduct and are subject to IntET(NZ) disciplinary procedures.

Post nominals

Registrants on the International Engineering Technologists register are able to use the ‘IntET(NZ)’ postnominal.
