CertETn

Introduction

The Certified Engineering Technician register is presented in four parts:

1. Those CertETn holding current annual practising certificates
2. Those CertETn whose registration is in abeyance (i.e. people who are regarded as currently competent, but do not hold an annual practising certificate and are not entitled to use the title CertETn).
3. Those CertETn whose registration is suspended
4. Those engineers who have been subject of a disciplinary order within the last three years (and who may or may not now be a CertETn).

Part 1 is most relevant for checking whether a person currently registered as a CertETn. Parts 2, 3 and 4 enable checks to be made on engineers who were at one stage a CertETn but may not currently hold an annual practising certificate, or who may not now be CertETn.
